My interest in martial arts came when I saw The Karate Kid for the first time. Once my family and I moved from New York City to Orlando, FL I was able to pursue my dream. At the age of 9 while in grammar school I saw a flyer for a martial arts class held in the school cafeteria on selected nights where I was then introduced to Sensei Howie Gelber. After training for 10 months with Sensei Howie he then started teaching under Hanshi William Liquori's USA Goju Organization, where I was the only student to follow. When I was a purple belt Sensei Howie moved away to pursue a career in law enforcement leaving me to train with Hanshi William Liquori. At the age of 15 I was promoted to brown belt under the direction of Sensei Linda Liquori. Following my dream to become a black belt, I was promoted at the age of 18 by Hanshi William Liquori at the Eastbrook YMCA. After Hanshi William Liquori retired from teaching I took a break from martial arts to go back to college at Everest University to get a degree for Criminal Justice. Realizing what I have left behind I got back in to martial arts and started to train under the direction of Sensei Scott Smith and Sensei David Wells at the Orlando Dojo.
